In September 2025, the Southern Tanzania Union Mission welcomed Pr. Magulilo Mwakalonge as its Executive Secretary, following his election at the East-Central Africa Division Executive Committee in Nairobi, Kenya. Before this pivotal role, Pr. Mwakalonge had served as the Executive Secretary of the Northern Tanzania Union Conference situated in Arusha.

Pr. Mwakalonge’s leadership journey began at the grassroots level, where he dedicated numerous years as a local church Pastor. His commitment to fostering spiritual growth within congregations has been a consistent thread throughout his career. As the Executive Secretary of the Northern Tanzania Union Conference, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, contributing to the development and cohesion of the church in that region.

Now, in his capacity as the Executive Secretary of the Southern Tanzania Union Mission, Pr. Magulilo Mwakalonge brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the diverse dynamics within the Seventh-day Adventist community. On a momentous occasion during the East-Central Africa Division Executive Committee in Nairobi, Kenya, Eld. Shabatu Msaki assumed the crucial role of Treasurer for the Southern Tanzania Union Mission in September 2025. His election underscored his commitment to financial stewardship within the Seventh-day Adventist community.

Before taking on this pivotal role, Eld. Shabatu Msaki had already established himself as a seasoned church leader. His extensive experience included serving as the East Central Tanzania Conference and Arusha College, showcasing a deep understanding of internal audit processes.

As Treasurer of the Southern Tanzania Union Mission, Eld. Shabatu Msaki brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of financial leadership.
