Dr. Godwin Lekundayo, a distinguished figure in the Seventh-day Adventist community, assumed the presidency of the Southern Tanzania Union Mission in September 2022, following his election during the East-Central Africa Division Executive Committee in Nairobi, Kenya. Before this, he had showcased exemplary leadership as the President of the Northern Tanzania Union Mission.

Dr. Lekundayo’s journey in service to the church has been marked by dedication and longevity, with a significant portion of his career spent as a local church Pastor. His commitment to the spiritual well-being of congregations has left a lasting impact on the Northern Tanzania Union Mission, where his leadership was instrumental in fostering growth and community engagement.

Now, as the President of the Southern Tanzania Union Mission, Dr. Lekundayo brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of transformative leadership. In September 2022, the Southern Tanzania Union Mission welcomed Pr. Jeremiah Izungo as its Executive Secretary, following his election at the East-Central Africa Division Executive Committee in Nairobi, Kenya. Before this pivotal role, Dr. Izungo had served as the President of the West Tanzania Conference situated in Kigoma, a territory falling under the umbrella of the Northern Tanzania Union Mission.

Dr. Izungo’s leadership journey began at the grassroots level, where he dedicated numerous years as a local church Pastor. His commitment to fostering spiritual growth within congregations has been a consistent thread throughout his career. As the President of the West Tanzania Conference, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, contributing to the development and cohesion of the church in that region.

Now, in his capacity as the Executive Secretary of the Southern Tanzania Union Mission, Pr. Jeremiah Izungo brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the diverse dynamics within the Seventh-day Adventist community. His vision and administrative prowess are poised to contribute significantly to the continued growth and unity of the Southern Tanzania Union Mission.

On a momentous occasion during the East-Central Africa Division Executive Committee in Nairobi, Kenya, CPA Denis Wairaha assumed the crucial role of Treasurer for the Southern Tanzania Union Mission in September 2022. His election underscored his commitment to financial stewardship within the Seventh-day Adventist community.

Before taking on this pivotal role, Eld. Denis Wairaha had already established himself as a seasoned church leader. His extensive experience included serving as the internal Auditor of the Northern Tanzania Union Mission, showcasing a deep understanding of internal audit processes. Additionally, he had held prominent positions such as Auditor of GCAS and Treasurer of the late Tanzania Union, demonstrating a multifaceted expertise in financial management within the church.

As Treasurer of the Southern Tanzania Union Mission, CPA Denis Wairaha brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of financial leadership. His diverse experience positions him well to navigate the complexities of financial stewardship, ensuring the responsible allocation and management of resources for the advancement of the Seventh-day Adventist mission in the region.
